On week 5, we were told to get in to groups and chose a song on a list we were given. The task was to preform the song and experiment with the piece making it our own but still similar to the original. My group chose to do a mash up of Walk This Way by Run- DMC and Venus by bananarama.
We didn’t really do much rehearsal in this session as we where mostly trying to think of a song/ songs that could benefit each member in our group. Walk this way was chosen as Mulan was a rapper so she could rap the main verses. Harris, Claudia and Graham benefited from both songs as it shows how they can play multiple genres and me and Britney used this as an opportunity to show off our vocals (in Venus) by practicing harmonies.
